leaving Antarctica was perhaps the most harrowing part of the trip- a freezing boat ride to shore, holding onto our bags so our computers/passports/extra socks didn’t plunge into the freezing waters, up a gravel “road” with giant snowflakes sticking to our faces where we were warned that there were giant terns divebombing the walkers up ahead. somehow we managed to get on the plane, out of Antarctica, and on our way back home. And you know what? It was worth every crazy minute. It was a life-changing trip, and I am so deeply grateful to our friends at @greenpeace for the opportunity to learn firsthand why the Antarctic is such an important place to protect. I really fell in love with its breathtaking landscape and abundant wildlife. It was such a blessing to be so far from cities, from cars, from the noise of our daily life, and so close to nature. Thank you #greenpeace 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌊🐋🐧
